Will my health insurance pay any of the costs of acquiring a hearing aid?
It really depends on your cover. Generally anything related to hearing is included in Extras or premium cover. This will also differ by health insurance provider.

Waiting period - 3 years
$1,000 per hearing aid, maximum of 2 hearing aids per person every 3 years. Excludes batteries and hearing costs.
Includes audiology (hearing assessment, prescription, fitting of hearing aids, Tinitus, Counselling relating to hearing. Initial consultation gets $52 and thereafter $40. Hearing aids are limited to $600.00
$800 per hearing aid and limits apply. 3 year waiting period.
3 year waiting period.
2 month - 3 year waiting period for hearing aids. 50%, 60% and 75% back on every extras claim. Audiology not specified. $800 limit on hearing aids for top cover extras.
