Earwax blockage occurs when the wax gets pushed into the ear and compacted. This is a common cause of hearing loss and relatively easy to rectify. This is also considered conductive hearing loss.
Your GP (General Practitioner) should be able to help with a ear wash of warm water or alternately go to the pharmacy, there are a number of earwax treatments available, but do discuss this with your pharmacist first. Generally getting rid of any infections or illnesses first is required before trying to remove ear wax.
